About PCPS

ENROLLMENT - Peninsula Christian Preschool is  licensed by the State of California for over 25 years.  Children between the ages of 2 through 5 are eligible for enrollment in PCPS. Application forms and further information can be obtained by calling  at (831) 373-1922 or e-mailing the office, or by clicking and downloading the zip-file on this page.

OPERATING HOURS - Monday through Friday 7 am to 6 pm year round, with the exception of certain holidays. Preschool runs from 9am-12pm Monday-Friday with an afternoon Enrichment Program.  Our Preschool Office is open Monday through Friday from 9 to Noon. 

STAFF - Our student to teacher ratio is 9:1 (nine students per teacher), as opposed to the California state-mandated 12:1. All of our teachers have the required 12 hours of Early Childhod Education (ECE) training. All of our teachers have undergone fingerprint screening an FBI background investigation and are CPR and First Aid certified.

OPEN-DOOR POLICY - PCPS has an open-door policy. Parents/guardians can visit at any time.

ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE - The registration fee of $160 is neccesary to hold space for your child during the application process and/or to renew that spot each year. The Registration Fee is non-refundable and due prior to your child entering school.

TUITION - Tuition is a monthly charge that covers the cost of educational materials and supervision throughout the year. Children can attend either full time or part time. There are different rates depending on the hours of attendance.   They are as follows:

PROGRAM - Our Preschool program offers age-appropriate academics from 9:00am to 12:00pm, Monday through Friday. There are classes for: 2 and 3 year olds, 3 and 4 year oids (Early Pre-K), and 4 and 5 year olds (Pre-K). The program is structured for Kindergarten Readiness. This program helps children to learn the Alphabet, Numbers, Colors, Shapes, Science, Phonics, Motor-skills and Reading and Writing.  The program includes regular Story times, Bible instruction, Outdoor play, Creative Arts and Crafts, Nature Observation and Rhythm and Music.  Sharing these experiences promotes trust, autonomy, a sense of happiness and well-being in each child and assists parents in early intervention of learning and behavioral disabilities using outside specialists.

PARENT/TEACHER CLUB - Parents meet together monthly to discuss ways to fundraise for school needs and in order to provide helps for the teachers in the classroom.
